Book; Poem book with a green cover titled "Metrical Musings". Written by Francis Stroup. Undated. Stroup mentions Patty Rieman in his acknowledgements and the about the author section of the poem book mentions that Francis Stroup was born in Holliday, Texas and attended Texas Public Schools until he went to college at North Texas State. The biography goes on to mention that in addition to playing basketball in college, Stroup graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from North Texas State and advanced degrees from the University of Southern California. Stroup taught at North Texas State, the University of Wyoming, Southern State (Arkansas), and eventually Northern Illinois University (N.I.U.). Stroup wrote fight songs for both North Texas State and Northern Illinois University, full length musicals for the Ellington Airforce Base and Stage Coach Players in DeKalb, and academic writings including a textbook.
