   Model depicts Dr. Jonas Salk in period clothing, note hole in right shoe. Dr. Salk was an American physician and medical researcher. Dr. Salk developed the first safe and effective vaccine for polio. Dr. Salk was born Octoer 28, 1914 and died June 23, 1995. Used in the Dolls for Democracy program. Donated by Congregation Beth Shalom, DeKalb, Illinois. Made by Cecil Weeks of Independence, Missouri.

   Mask, worn for safety and requirement during the onset of the 2021 Corona Virus pandemic. The mask has a blue flower and leaves on a black background. This mask is only one layer with elastic that was placed behind the ears.
