Description |
Railroad motor car, handcrafted replica based on Sycamore, Illinois Car #711. Replica is handmade of steel and extra miscellaneous parts. The original car was made by McKeen Motor Car Company and built in Omaha, Nebraska in 1910. The car became part of the interurban electric Woodstock and Sycamore Traction Company railway system during the 1900's. There was a line between Woodstock and Sycamore, Illinois. The rail service was short lived but did allow for passengers and transporting of merchandise from Sycamore, Genoa, Riley, Marengo, Union, Franklinville and Woodstock, Illinois. The replicated car and tracks are displayed in a plastic case.
