Buckle, Belt - Belt Buckle
Uniform, Buckle, brass material for a belt, US in raised letters on front. This belt plate was the standard, mid-war issues for Union soldiers of the Civil War Era. The one piece oval belt plate is lead filled stamped sheet brass with the brasshooks on the back embedded in the lead. U. S. Army troops wore their traditional dark blue trousers, jackets and kepi caps.

Tube, metal used for mailing correspondence crossing the Equator. It has stamps for 60 cents and was approved by an Army Examiner. Mailed February,1944 to Mrs. William Eddy, Sycamore, Ill. from CPL. William B. Eddy, San Francisco, CA. Tube had been painted black, with paper mailing address wrapped around tube but there is no lid to the container.
